Student Ethnicity for 2006-2007 school year:
Ray March (1928) won three events at the 1928 MHSAA Class-B Track and Field championships; earning gold medals in the javelin throw, long jump and high jump competition. In a well contested battle for the team championship trophy, Petoskey High finished third; right behind St. Joseph, and first-place Dearborn High School.[1]
Cory Starkey (2011) was a two-time Big North Conference Player of the Year and a First Team All-State selection in basketball. Cory led Petoskey to two Big North championships, two District titles and one Regional title during his time at Petoskey High School. In addition to his performance on the basketball court, Cory was a Big North champion in high jump and broke the school record with height of 6'6". Cory continued his basketball career at Bucknell University.[2]
